FOUNDER – Tanesha Westcarr London fashion stylist and entrepreneur Tanesha Westcarr has been in the fashion industry for more than five years. In this time, she has gained exceptional knowledge as a fashion stylist, fashion contributor, backstage manager at fashion events, PR assistant as well as a model. Tanesha has also worked in sales and marketing and within communication departments in major companies such as Origin Housing Trust. In 2011 Tanesha became a first time author having written Styling Stripped Bare, a book that will help you to reclaim your significance, release your style and unleash the new you! Her desire is to make fashion more accessible. Known for her unique “Seven Seconds to a Great First Impression” message and her mantra “let your style be your microphone”, Tanesha encourages women everywhere to use style to amplify their voice and express who they really are. Met Gala: Celebs Releasing Their Icon™
Last night saw the Icons come out in force. You can always expect the usual glamour and over the top gowns from the very elite in fashion and media industries at The Met Gala. The world’s most beautiful according to People Mag, Beyonce Knowles definitely stole the limelight with her revealing Givenchy Couture number (showing a little too much for our poor eyes), then you had the “HARD” singer Rihanna showing off her dark side in a crocodile embossed leather gown by Tom Ford, whilst Gwenyth Paltrow plays it girlie in Prada. Forbes have released their top overexposed celebrities. Is it really overexposure or good branding?
Kim Kardashian came a crashing 1st place at the top of the Forbes list as the most overexposed celebrity with a whopping 65% of the votes. She is however also one of the most bankable celebrities raking in $12 million last year (this does not include money made from her wedding). This works out to at least a million a month, pretty neat. There are celebs who are equally or more famous who make much more money who tend to wear more clothes. The coin could also be flipped the other way, as there are girls who showcase almost everything and make much less than the Kardashians. The awards season wasn’t just about the dresses, it was also about the right leg, yes Angelina Jolie’s right leg. It won all the awards and press coverage on the night and saw her catapulted to a new level of fame. The right leg even had it’s own twitter page with more than 46,00o followers. Here at SS HQ we say long may the right leg continue, it was definitely a brilliant PR strategy and got her all the gongs – though she didn’t quite win any of the Golden statues this year.

The special day that cupid graces us with his presence is just around the corner and it’s the release of one very special and powerful emotion – Love.
